Short History

Driven by our excessive love for the sea, seafood and fish, we started on the 17th of January 1997 in a small alley of our town, making with all our passion a small but cosy place full of sea.

Very quickly it became known all over our town and beyond. All the people who got to know it loved and supported it. But it was impossible to fit all these people who supported us in such a small space and at the same time offer everything that makes our customers leave with a smile.

So on the 28th of April 2001 we moved to the current place, trying to continue the tradition of our previous restaurant and to keep the quality of the ingredients we use for cooking our vegetables, our seafood and of course fish.

A team of eight people works harmoniously to create seafood delights with the aroma of the Aegean and the taste of Greece, under the supervision of the owner Kyriakos Stogios, a fanatical follower of traditional Greek cuisine.

The secret of Nisiotiko’s success lies in Kyriakos’ adherence to the traditional recipes he was taught by his father, Captain Michalis, and his uncle, an experienced fish tavern owner.

In our tavern you will find fresh seasonal fish — sardines, anchovies, prawns, mussels, white sea bream in summer; squid, ray, monkfish, red mullet, langoustines, surmullet in winter. We offer a wide variety of salads with fresh vegetables and wild herbs of Thrace, an excellent collection of three hundred Greek and foreign wines, and traditional sweets from our pastry chef.
